Anne Dobbs
Anne is a Nashville native who attended the Harpeth Hall school before going on to earn a B.A. in psychology from Southern Methodist University in 1990. Shortly after, she received a Masters in Education from Vanderbilt University in 1992, and taught special education for a brief period of time before deciding to stay home to raise 4 children.
In her late 30’s, after engaging in her own recovery and therapy work, Anne decided to pursue her dream of earning a Christian Counseling degree. Through the Sarasota Academy of Christian Counseling, Anne received her degree as a Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor, as well as her credentials as a minister of Pastoral Care.
In 2012, at the age of 44, Anne developed and became director of “Living Mosaic Ministries”. Through the ministry, she offers Christian Counseling, Spiritual Direction; as well as retreats. Anne was trained as an Ignatian Spiritual Director through Dovehouse Ministries in Nashville.
Her counseling practice is steeped in recovery principles, inner child work, and experiential therapy methods. Her approach invites clients to uncover the stories and behaviors that keep a them stuck so that they can begin to find healing and freedom in their lives. As an Ignatian spiritual director, she accompanies people as they discover a personal encounter with God through Scripture, directed retreats, the practice of silence and contemplation, imaginative prayer, group spiritual direction, and through art, nature, and Christian writings.
Anne has been married to Mike Dobbs for 30 years and they have 4 adult children, 3 cats and a dog. Her house is a revolving door for their adult children and their animals. She enjoys creating beautiful spaces all around her, crocheting, working on puzzles, art, spending time with close friends and family and going on spiritual retreats 🙂 She is inspired by watching people grow, heal, and come to know the love of God in deeper and more personal ways.

Our Hopes for HeartWise
- As we share and listen to one another’s stories, we will discover that our hearts are more open, more trusting, and more tender.
- We will become better acquainted with the emotions we all feel and what they are inviting us to embrace about our human experience.
- We will be filled with greater compassion for ourselves and one another, and will possess a greater reverence for the journey of life that we all share.
